The $2000 Studio Comes to Panorama

For that price, it better be Instagram about to happen. And it is.  The long-vacant Panorama Tower has, after 25 years, adaptively re-purposed and will open for leasing next week, Blade Runner views in all directions.

Infrastructure is minimal, in keeping with the live/work loft fiction.   At 600 sqft, units are generously sized for a studio,  but there is no getting around the one room problem. Two people who aren’t sleeping with each other are going to have trouble sharing it.

Clearly the developer wants white people to move here though I anticipate few will arrive with children.  The Era of the Vertical Valley has begun.

  1. Why does the developer clearly want “White” people to live there?
Black people have heavier cats & dogs maybe?

  2. It’s perhaps more accurate to say the developer wants white people to think other white people want to live here. A desire to set a virtuous circle in motion, as opposed to the opposite, a place where white people worry no other people are going to live, which becomes self-fulfilling.

    1. Interesting, with “White People” having a broad ethnic spectrum ranging from North Africa, Argentinia, Mexico, Spain, the Middle East and with the developer being Israeli it should be a polyglot place to live then.
